Ndidi says Premier League stars can fire Nigeria to 2018 World Cup
The Super Eagles of Nigeria now boast of a rich array of players from Arsenal star Alex Iwobi, Manchester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho to Victor Moses of Chelsea.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria are currently top of Group B ahead of Cameroon, Zambia and Algeria in the African qualifiers for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Four of Super Eagles’ five goals so far in the qualifiers have come from Premier League players and Ndidi believes they immensely strengthen the team.
“It’s a nice thing. The players who play in the English Premier League are much more experienced and it strengthens the team,” the Leicester City star told .
“The progression is very nice. We still need to work hard—the coach (Gernot Rohr) also says you need to work hard towards every game.”
For the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, the Super Eagles will next face Cameroon in a doubleheader in August and September.
