Super Eagles trio of Alex Iwobi, Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi have all reacted to their team results for Arsenal and Leicester City in Premier League fixtures played on Saturday, August 19
Alex Iwobi says Arsenal deserved better against Chelsea
Super Eagles stated that he and his Arsenal teammates deserved better after they lost 3-2 in their second Premier League game of the season to Chelsea in the London Derby played on Saturday, August 18.
Iwobi was named among the starting line up by new Arsenal boss Unai Emery having not featured for a minute in their 0-2 loss to Premier League champions Manchester City in the opening day fixture.
The Gunnesr fell behind to an early goal by Pedro Rodriguez in the 10th minute after he latched on to a ball by Marcos Alonso. while Alvaro Morata doubled the lead for Chelsea through a ball by Cesar Azpilicueta.
Iwobi and his teammates however fought their way back into the encounter through a first goal by Henrikh Mkhitaryan's in the 37th minute before the Super Eagles midfielder restored parity in the 41st minute.
Arsenal tried to find a winner but and Iwobi was substituted for Alexandre Lacazette in the 75th minute.before Alonso scored the winner through a pass by Eden Hazard.
After the game Iwobi took to his Instagram account to state that he and his teammates deserved more.
He said, "Thought We Deserved More From Today, Got To Keep Our Heads Up, Stick Together & Go Again"
Iwobi and his Arsenal teammates will hope to get their first points of the season when they host West Ham United in another London Derby scheduled for Saturday, August 25.
Wilfred Ndidi reacts to Leicester City win
Super Eagles midfielder reacted as his side Leicester City beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-0 in a Premier League encounter played on Saturday August, 19.
The home side recovered from an opening day defeat to Manchester United as an own goal from Matt Doherty in the 29 minute and a James Maddison strike in the 45 minute minute gave Claude Puel's side a comfortable victory.
Ndidi was again imperious in midfield and played for all 90 minutes in the encounter.
After the game he took to his official Instagram account to say, "Happy to get the first 3 points, Massive support from the fans."
Kelechi Iheanacho reacts to Leicester City win
Super Eagles striker also reacted to Leicester City's win over Wolvehampton Wanderers with a post on his official Instagram account which said, "Great to be back, king power"
The 22-year-old forward was introduced in the 82nd minute of the second half for goalscorer James Maddison.
Iheanacho may be set for more starting roles as Leicester City star striker Jamie Vardy was issued a red card in the encounter.
Ndidi and Iheanacho return to action in the Premier League when they travel to Southampton on Saturday, August 25.
