The Adokie Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt had been planned as an alternative by the NFF but Rohr’s preference had forced the NFF to remain with Uyo.

To stick to Rohr’s preference, the president of the NFF, Amaju Pinnick will meet with Governor of Akwa Ibom, Udom Emmanuel to plead with him to kick off repairs on the stadium to make it ready for CAF’s stadium inspections.

The Super Eagles’ unbeaten record at the Nest of Champions Stadium under Rohr is a major reason why he wants the game to be played there.
