Sunderland Bids for Grealish

Sunderland has reportedly made an offer for Manchester City midfielder Jack Grealish, according to "The Athletic." The Black Cats are looking to secure the 30-year-old on a loan deal until the end of the season. Unable to cover his substantial wages, they are hoping City will continue to pay a portion of his salary.

Grealish returned to Manchester City this summer after spending last season on loan at Everton, though he missed the final months of that campaign due to injury. He participated in City's pre-season preparations and came on as a substitute in the first two matches of the new season. Sunderland is reportedly considering a move to sign Grealish permanently next summer, when his contract with City is set to expire.
