The Ducati team has announced that two-time MotoGP world champion Francesco Bagnaia successfully underwent surgery on his right forearm yesterday.

The endoscopic procedure was performed by Professor Luigi Tarallo at the orthopedic clinic in Modena. The exact reason for the operation has not been disclosed, but it is most likely related to a problem with 'arm pump' syndrome.

The good news for Bagnaia is that MotoGP is currently in its traditional summer break, which gives him more time to recover before the next round of the championship. That event will take place at Silverstone between August 7th and 9th, and after the British Grand Prix, there will be another slightly longer break before the Aragon Grand Prix at the end of August.
