However, organizers did not specify whether Argentina's training session, scheduled for 11:30 AM local time, would proceed as planned.

"The Spanish national team's training at the Melany Lane fields in New Jersey has been canceled in accordance with the US thunderstorm safety protocol. Instead, the players are conducting a warm-up indoors," announced the Spanish Football Federation.

The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) stated: "The Spanish national team's training session at the Melany Lane training facility in New Jersey has been canceled in accordance with the US storm safety protocol. Players are conducting an activation session in the indoor facilities."

FIFA confirmed that no alternative training time had been scheduled for the Spanish squad.

Similar to the Spanish team, Lionel Scaloni's Argentina squad also had to remain indoors, awaiting an improvement in the stormy weather, which included numerous lightning strikes. A spectacular shot captured a lightning bolt being intercepted by the training ground's lightning rod.

Ultimately, the "Albiceleste" managed to conduct their final pre-final training session on the pitch, as the storm subsided and authorities gave the green light for the practice to proceed.

A warning was also issued at MetLife Stadium, the venue for the final: "For your safety, please evacuate the open seating areas and seek shelter inside the stadium," read a message from the New Jersey State Police, which was sent to all mobile phones.
