Stephen Keshi has been confirmed as the Super Eagles coach by the Nigeria Football Federation.
The Delta State born coach was minutes ago unveiled before the media by NFF where his new two-year-old contract was also handed to him.
The team is at Keshi's unveiling ceremony was led by Vice-President Seyi Akinwumi, Felix Anyansi, Otunba Sunday Ajayi, Alhaji Fresh and Mrs. Dilichukwu Onyedinma.
Speaking before Keshi's contract was handed to him, the Chairman of the NFF Technical Committee Felix Anyansi thanked the executive committee of the NFF for following their recommendation in re-appointing Stehen Keshi as the coach of the Super Eagles.
"History is being made again," Anyansi said.
"I thank the executive committee for following the recommendations of the technical committee and appointing Keshi.
"Amaju Pinnick has undiluted confidence that Mr Keshi will take the Super Eagles to a new height."
Dressed in a grey native attire, Keshi signed his contract at the press conference at exactly 2.55pm.
"We need the media, we cannot do it alone," Keshi told newsmen present at the unveiling.
"I have what it takes to move this country forward.
"This is a new page for Nigerian football," Keshi assured.
This will be Stephen Keshi 's third spell as the coach of the Super Eagles.
He became the first Nigerian to win the African Cup of Nations as a player and as a coach after leading the Super Eagles of Nigeria to the title in 2013.
After the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, Keshi's deal was not renewed but he however returned on a match-by-match deal, which ended in November after failing to qualify the Super Eagles for the the 2015 Nations Cup .
Former Nigeria striker Daniel Amokachi who led the Super Eagles in two friendly matches last month however did not return as the assistant coach.
The former Everton forward has been replaced by Salisu Yusuf.
It is however a familiar role for Yusuf who has been an assistant to coach Samson Siasia at both senior and U-20 levels.
