NFF to sack coach over Ivory Coast job saga

 
 
The disciplinary committee of the NFF says it will recommend for the sack of Stephen Keshi if he was involved in the application for the Cote d’Ivoire national team job

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will sack Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi if he is found guilty of any wrongdoings in the Ivory Coast job saga.

undefined following the revelation that he applied for the job of the Cote d’Ivoire national team.

Keshi during a hearing on Tuesday, June 23, undefined claiming that an unnamed European agent submitted his name to the Ivory Coast FA without consulting him.

The NFF will be approaching the Ivory Coast FA to know the details behind the application and according to Vice President of the  Disciplinary committee Igbokwe Iyke Igbokwe the disciplinary committee will recommend for the sack of Keshi if they discover that he was involved in the appication.

NIt could be recalled that NFF President Amaju Pinnick said it would be 'suicidal'  for Keshi to apply for another job when he is not being owed.

“If we prove that he indeed is involved in the application when he is still coach of the Super Eagles, then that is a breach of trust,"

“We will then recommend (to the executive committee) that he be relieved of his job so that he could go and coach Cote d’Ivoire.”

This saga comes just months after Keshi had signed a new  two-year contract after his first three-year-contract expired.
