Sporting Transfer Market: “Proud to join Al Ahli,” confesses Trincão

Sporting and Al Ahli officially confirmed the transfer of Francisco Trincão this Saturday, and the 26-year-old forward has already spoken for the first time as a player for the Saudi club.

“I am very proud to join Al Ahli and I am aware of the value of this club, its history, and its fans,” reads a statement on the official website of the Arab club.

“The passion I witnessed from Al Ahli fans was one of the main reasons that motivated me to take this step, and I promise everyone that I will fight alongside my teammates to achieve success and make the fans happy,” added the former Lion. Trincão is currently on vacation after his World Cup duties with the National Team, so his farewell to Sporting fans is expected upon his return from this break.

With this transfer, it's worth noting, the Lions immediately secure a fixed sum of 39.3 million euros and could receive an additional 4.4 million euros in bonuses, potentially totaling 43.7 million. An extra two million is added if we include the solidarity mechanism fee, which is fully covered by the Saudi club.
