Sporting: João Simões Confirms Season-Ending Injury

The situation, first reported by A BOLA this Monday morning, has now been confirmed by João Simões via an Instagram story: he will miss the remainder of the season due to an issue with the fifth metatarsal in his right foot. “Sporting fans, unfortunately, I won't be able to help the team on the pitch for the rest of the season. I'll undergo minor surgery on my fifth metatarsal because the fracture hasn't fully healed. This decision was made jointly with Sporting's medical team to ensure I recover 100 percent and can start next season in peak condition. Thank you all for your support. I'll come back stronger,” he stated.
