Sporting in Algarve Without Diomande, Pote, Bragança, and… Suárez

The Lions play Nottingham Forest this Friday. The defender, forward, and midfielder are on their way out and thus excluded; the forward, after extensive World Cup minutes, remains in Lisbon for workload management and will play Saturday at the Academy against 1.º Dezembro.

Sporting is en route to the south of the country, where they will face Nottingham Forest this Friday at the Algarve Stadium, with kick-off at 7:45 PM. This friendly match will notably be without Diomande, Pedro Gonçalves, Daniel Bragança, and Luis Suárez. The first three are absent for obvious reasons, as they are expected to depart from the Alvalade club. The Colombian forward, Suárez, is being rested after a demanding season with the Lions and significant minutes at the World Cup. While rumors circulated about a potential injury, A BOLA understands that the striker is simply being managed for workload and will instead play in a closed-door friendly at the Alcochete Academy on Saturday morning against 1.º Dezembro.
