Sweden were four points behind Spain with 11, while South Korea and Japan finished a further point back.

With nine points, Thailand ended up fifth at the team match-play tournament played at the Caves Valley Golf Club.

In a shock, the United States failed to advance from the pool stages on Saturday, eliminated alongside Chinese Taipei and Australia.

Japan were the best-placed team heading into Sunday's singles as nations continued to be awarded two points for wins.

Park Inbee gave South Korea hope with a comfortable 4 and 2 win over Sweden's Caroline Hedwall.

Ciganda thrashed Choi Na-yeon (South Korea) 8 and 6 after making seven birdies in 12 holes.

While Se Yeon-ryu had a 1-up win against Sakura Yokomine (Japan), Spain's dominance was too much.

Recari beat Sweden's Mikaela Parmlid 3 and 2, Mozo overcame Thai Moriya Jutanugarn by the same score and Munoz edged Japan's Ai Miyazato 2 and 1.
