The head of the Naija Ninjas squad Sound Sultan is 38 today, November 27, 2014. The maverick singer is regarded as one of the leading music acts responsible for the renaissance of urban music in Nigerian in the late 90's.
He started his career in the late 90's headlining neighbourhood talent shows. His first single 'Jagbajantis' was released in 2000. The following year he released his debut album 'Kpseeeeeeew'. Sound Sultan's blend of conscious music and humour drew him to millions of Nigerians.
After the success of his debut album, he has gone on to release five more successful albums namely; 'Textbook', 'Naija 007', 'SS4', 'Back To The Future' and 'Me, My Mouth and Eye'.
His record label Naija Ninjas which he co-owns with his brother Baba Dee has been a hotbed for young acts. He currently has Yung Grey C, Blacka and Karma.
Sound Sultan's latest project is 'Head Gone' a movie which he stars in. The film was directed by Baba Dee.
