Rapper raising funds for weed startups

According to , Hip-hop veteran, Snoog Dogg is trying to raise funds to invest in a cannabis startups.

The tech medium sources revealed that the rapper hopes to raise $25 million to fund a new company in the growing and now legal marijuana sector.

Snoop in recent months has picked up an interest in tech investments.

Over the last few months, the rapper invested in Reddit- an entertainment, social networking service and news website- as well as zero-fee stock trading platform Robinhood.

His new interest for the cannabis business is reportedly focused on tech affiliated with the growing legal cannabis industry.

The funds Snoop Dogg is reportedly raising won’t have anything to do with cultivation and production.

Snoop’s entering into the marijuana business also seems to be at the right time as the industry is expected to experience a boom as a result of states legalisation of the drugs both for medical and recreational use.
