Stephen Keshi receives $300,000 as reward for World Cup performance

It has been revealed that Nigeria’s coach to the World Cup, Stephen Keshi pocketed the sum of $300,000 for his performance at the World Cup.

Nigeria ended its World Cup campaign with one victory, a draw and two losses; the players were rewarded with hal the amount the Big Boss received for the results.

Keshi who quit the National team after the World Cup is currently meshed in a contract negotiation with the Presidency and the current board of the NFF. He was offered a 7 Million Naira a month salary by the Aminu Maigari led board, the two sides were yet to discuss on the proposal before the sack of the board from the Sunday Dankaro football house.

52 year-old Keshi demanded the sum of 10 Million Naira as monthly salary if he is to reconsider his position with the national team, a request the Nigerian president is still considering.

Keshi received a total of $260,000 as appearance fee; culminating from the qualifiers to the World Cup and the tournament itself, and a win bonus of $40,000 for the game against Bosnia.

Assistant Amokachi walked away with $195,000 appearance fee. Some of the players who took part in the qualifiers and the tournament itself got the sum of $130,000.
