Senator says Nigeria's oil sector is like cultism
Sani who is angry about the way and manner Nigerians are suffering from the fuel scarcity and ineptitude electricity supply, Nigerias oil cartel are holding the President Muhammadu Buhari by the groins and holding the nation by the neck.
In a statement issued on Thursday, April 7, 2016, Sani said the ultimate aim of the retrogrades in Nigeria's oil cartel is to cripple the economy, incite Nigerians and blackmail the Federal Government to restore the dubious aspects of subsidy, privatize refineries and kowtow to their capitalistic interest.
"I call on PMB to act decisively and promptly and further reform, reorganize and fumigate the oil sector for efficiency. The lingering fuel shortages and persistent power outages experienced by Nigerians these days challenges our moral authority as people in government," Sani said.
He added that the suffering and hardships experienced by Nigeria masses possesses an acidic vapor capable of eroding the goodwill of Nigerians enjoyed by the Government.
"It's indefensible that with over five decades of the existence of oil industry in Nigeria,domestic availability and supply of petroleum products is still a rocket science. We need to act fast as this persistent shortages have the capacity of igniting unrest and discontent. I appeal to Nigerians to exercise abit more patience while solution to the problem is sorted out and to disregard regressive forces he'll bent on politically exploiting the situation," Sani added.
