Arsenal defender William Saliba has returned to training with the English champions ahead of their Champions League clash against Slavia Prague. The French international has not featured since the World Cup.
The centre-back played through back pain throughout the tournament, which aggravated the injury. Arsenal signed Ezri Konsa from Aston Villa during the summer as cover for the Frenchman, and Konsa has made a strong start to the season alongside Gabriel Magalhães in the heart of defence.
Despite his return to training, Saliba is unlikely to feature in Zinedine Zidane's France squad, set to be announced on Friday. The manager will also have to cope without fellow centre-back Maxence Lacroix of Chelsea, who picked up an injury in late October.
