According to reports, Ebola has claimed the life of another doctor in Sierra Leone.
A government official is said to have confirmed that DrOlivet Buck died late on Saturday, September 13, 2014.
The disease-ravaged country asked the World Health Organization for help in transporting the ailing doctor to Germany for treatment, The Guardian reports.
However, the WHO reportedly said that it could not meet the request but instead offered to give Buck "the best care possible" in Sierra Leone, including possible access to experimental drugs.
The doctor’s death was confirmed to the Associated Press by Sierra Leone's Chief Medical Officer Dr Brima Kargbo.
Ebola has claimed over 2000 people in West Africa with Sierra Leone and Liberia being the worst hit countries.
