Paris FC continued their unbeaten start to the Ligue 1 campaign, securing a 2-1 victory over manager Liam Rossinier's former club, Strasbourg. The match was marred by offensive chants from the visiting fans directed at the Englishman.
The game was temporarily halted in the second half as Rossinier became the target of abuse from his former team's supporters. Ugly scenes also unfolded after the final whistle when the coach gestured to confront the away fans, requiring his players to pull him away.
Rossinier was brought back to France by Paris FC owners, the Arnault family, after a challenging spell at Chelsea. Under his leadership, the team has climbed to second place in the league standings, just behind Monaco.
Goals from Ilan Kebbal in the 18th minute and Pablo Pagis twelve minutes into the second half were enough for the capital club to add a third win to their two draws so far. Towards the end of the match, Mostafa Mboup unfortunately scored an own goal.
Strasbourg suffered their second defeat of the season and currently sit in seventh position with 7 points.
In the next round, Paris FC will travel to Lorient, while Strasbourg will face Nice.
