The city with the best reputation in the world is Sydney, Australia, this is according to a survey that was conducted by Reputation Institute.

Over 19,000 residents of G8 countries - France, Germany, Italy, UK, Japan, US, Canada and Russia were surveyed for the 2015 City RepTrak study.

According to Fernando Prado, managing partner at the Reputation Institute, for a city, a strong reputation is closely linked to a desire by individuals to visit, live, work or invest there.

"Cities with a good reputation welcome more tourists, host relevant events and attract more investment and talent" he added.

European cities dominated the list of top 10 most reputable cities, while no US city made the list.

African and Asian cities also were not on the list of top 10 cities. Here's the list of the top 10 most reputable cities below:
