Rashford last featured for the Red Devils in December 2024. He finished the 2024/2025 season on loan at Aston Villa, and spent the entire past campaign in Spain, where his 14 goals and 14 assists helped Barcelona clinch the La Liga title. However, the Catalan giants opted not to activate his permanent transfer option, instead signing Anthony Gordon from Newcastle over the Manchester United loanee.
“I am grateful to everyone at the club for making my time here such a positive and unforgettable experience. I enjoyed every moment and will take many special memories with me,” the 28-year-old Englishman was quoted by AFP, with his future at Old Trafford remaining uncertain. It is, however, likely that Rashford will stay at Manchester United, where he will be coached by former teammate Carrick.
