I’m not even sure I know him completely. What if he has something he’s hiding. Or what if things just do not work out?

Hello Bukky,

I met this guy in November 2016 and you know, things just sped up real quick and we became inseparable and before I knew what’s happening, we were dating and he asked if I would marry him at the end of January [2017]

I really like him, and money is not even an issue as he has a job and I have one too. I’m just bothered that the time is too short.

I’m not even sure I know him completely. What if he has something he’s hiding. Or what if things just do not work out?

I’m just totally worried. I told him it was too early to be discussing stuff like that, but he has been persistent since then, trying to convince me to say yes.

I still don’t want to say yes, but what if he gets tired and leaves me, because he appears like he’s desperate to get married as soon as possible and I would rather wait till next year.

Please what do you think?_____________________

Hi Reader,

Your mail already contains the answer to your questions. You are not ready, obviously, so he has to wait.

Please do not be ‘pressured’ into making a decision you might end up regretting.

If you feel the need to date for few more months before vowing the rest of your life to him, then by all means, take your time.

Make him see reason why he has to wait and, of course, he’ll need reassurance that you are his and you just want to take things slow, not like you are leaving him [except, of course, situations in the coming months necessitates that.]

Whatever happens, please do what is best for you. Marriage is meant, ideally, to be for a lifetime._______________________
