The Chelsea captain came on as a second-half substitute in the dramatic 2-1 quarter-final victory over Norway. He had missed the team's previous three matches due to a hamstring injury but is now fit for the semi-final clash against Argentina and a potential final.

"I'm happy to be back with the lads. Getting injured in a tournament like this always feels like a race against time. I managed to win that battle, and I'm pleased to be playing again," James stated.

The defender described the upcoming match against Argentina as a game of monumental importance.

"Every one of us has experience in these kinds of matches, and we know that the higher the stakes, the greater the pressure. We've been doing this for years; the fundamentals are the same, but this time the reward is much bigger. We want to bring joy to the people back home," the right-back commented. "There isn't a single person in this squad who didn't play football as a kid and dream of participating in and winning the World Cup. Now we face a test against one of the best teams in the world. However, we have our chances, and it all starts with how competitive the Premier League is. For me, it's the strongest league in the world, and that's why many of the best players in the world are English. English football has developed tremendously in recent years," James concluded.
