Red Star fires assistant coach, who declines to comment on the reasons!

Following their third loss of the season to Partizan last weekend, Crvena Zvezda decided to terminate its collaboration with assistant coach Milan Minić. This peculiar decision, made just before a crucial EuroLeague match, was not elaborated upon by either Saša Obradović or Minić himself.

The day after the Barcelona game, "Telegraf" reporters contacted the experienced coach, but he simply responded to the entire situation with:

Milan Minić, 71, has a long and distinguished career in coaching. He served as an assistant for numerous Greek teams, and in 1997, he won the EuroLeague in that capacity with Olympiacos.

As a head coach, he led Aris, Cologne, and Olympiacos, before returning to an assistant role with Olympiacos, Lokomotiv Rostov, and Vojvodina. He spent six years as an assistant coach for the Serbian national basketball team (from 2013 to 2019). Before joining Saša Obradović's coaching staff at the start of this season, his last engagement was with Partizan in 2018, when Nenad Čanak was at the helm of the black-and-whites.
