Reason to celebrate off the pitch: Premier League managerial sensation secretly marries German actress
Brighton's German manager has officially tied the knot with actress Anna Karolin Berger, who is one year his senior. While the tactician continues to impress on the bench in the English top flight, his wife stars in ARD's hit TV drama series "Sturm der Liebe".
The couple made their relationship public in June 2026 after sharing photos from a holiday on the island of Mauritius. They were later spotted together in Toronto, attending the World Cup group stage match between Germany and Ivory Coast.
Fabian Hürzeler and Anna Karolin Berger have now exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony away from the media spotlight. The newlyweds currently live and work in different countries; the young manager has been based on England's south coast since 2024, while Berger has been filming in Bavaria since 2025, portraying jewelry designer Larissa Mahnke.

The secret wedding comes amid a sensational run of form on the pitch for the 33-year-old German. Under Hürzeler's guidance, Brighton currently sit third in the Premier League table, trailing only leaders Manchester City and second-placed Arsenal.
Hürzeler wrote his name into the history books at the age of just 31 by becoming the youngest permanent head coach in Premier League history. Delighted with his progress, the south coast club's hierarchy rewarded him in May by extending his contract until June 30, 2029.
