Panelists crown Olamide the best Nigerian artiste of the year [Video]

Olamide has been named as the Hottest artiste in Nigeria for the year 2015 by the panel on the Pulse TVspecial #PulseList, after intense debate.

2015 has seen Olamide release several singles that have become successful all year long, in addition to his successful promotion of protégé, Lil Kesh, and the recent surprise release of his fifth studio album, ‘Eyan Mayweather’ which has been topping charts.

On the panel that ranked ten of the hottest artists in Nigeria for the year 2015 were, OAPs Osi Suave, Shade Ladipo, entertainment lawyer Akinyemi Ayinoluwa Esq., Pulse Music Editor Joey Akan,  Pulse Senior Associate Ayomide Tayo, and acclaimed talent manager Agwu Obinna. Pulse Nigeria’s Editor-In-Chief,  Osagie Alonge  was the moderator.

Making an appearance at number 2 on the list was Don Jazzy who had a big year in 2015 with his emergence as one of the most effective singers, and the growth of Mavin records into one of Africa’s premier music companies. Wizkid sneaked in at number 3 ahead of Davido after a year that saw him tour extensively and release a hit collaboration with Drake and Skepta. 

The show ranks the year’s ten biggest performing artists in Nigeria using a list of six criteria namely: Style, Impact, Sales/Success, Buzz, Music and Intangibles.
