Wayne Rooney's Wife Defends Him On Social Media

Coleen Rooney wife of the English footballer Wayne Rooney has risen to her husband’s defense following the recent attacks fans have made on him after she posted a picture on twitter and captioned it "We love our daddy!! Happy Father's day @WayneRooney. We're so proud of you."

Some angry Fans didn’t like this, and made retorts such as "Shame he can't play football" and "What's there to be proud of? To make matters worse, the Italian press yesterday gloated in their victory, even claiming that their WAGs which means female spouse of a sports player, are more attractive than those of the England players.

When one user wrote: "@ColeenRoo what for doing nothing in every big game he plays your husbands 1 big extremely ugly joke I’ve done better looking s****."
