Kahli Abdu explains why he signed to Chocolate City

Jos Town lyricist Kahli Abdu who was close with M.I, Jesse Jagz, and Ice Prince before they moved to Lagos in 2009, exclusively explained to Pulse TV why he is signing to Chocolate City now.

According to the Kahli Abdu who is signed to Chocolate City with VHS Safari he said it was the right time for him to sign with the label because in the past he wasn't ready for the move.

"I wasn't prepared for it. There are things I needed to do for myself. I needed to build myself up to a certain level. M.I was first talking to me about doing something with Loopy a couple years of ago but I still wanted to do certain things. I needed to take care of certain things. So this time it felt right. It's very natural. It's very organic this time, conversations were natural" he explained.

Kahli Abdu and VHS Safari signed to Chocolate City in June this year.

Speaking about the acceptance of their music in Nigeria, Will of VHS Safari said I think a lot of Nigerians are going to like it a lot. Is it going to be bumping in the clubs? No. That's not what we've been making. I am not going to say we are not going to produce Nigerian club bangers, cos we might but as far as what we put out, what we make under our name as a group we have a sound that will appeal to Nigerians" he said.
