Readers undecided about baby mamas

The emergence of baby mamas in the Nigerian entertainment circuit is a new trend.

Despite the societal stance on babies before marriage, many celebrities are following this route instead of tying the proverbial knot.

A few years ago the term 'baby mama' was relatively alien, but now the word pops up on blogs and sites on a weekly basis.

Popular music acts like 2face Idibia, Wande Coal, Flavour, Wizkid, Ice Prince, Davido, Timaya, D'Prince, Kay Switch all have baby mamas after having babies before marriage.

With this new trend, Nigerians have reacted to it. Some say it is wrong to have a child outside of marriage, and point to Western influence.

Others say there is nothing wrong with have a baby mama as long as the couples love themselves and raise their kids properly.

On June 29, 2015 Pulse held a poll to find out what people feel about having a 'baby mama'.
