Last week, the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) announced it's constitutional right to arrest and prosecute traffic offenders.
"FRSC has the constitutional right to arrest and prosecute traffic offenders in a Court of Law, while it also has the right to fine such violators. The Right is clearly stated in the Establishment Act of the commission; the FRSC is a law enforcement agency and it is equally a law abiding commission."
This announcement comes after the commission made numerous arrests.
We asked Pulse readers to weigh in.
The majority, 54.2%, disagree with the Law, which says: "members of the Corps shall have power to arrest and prosecute persons reasonably suspected of having committed any traffic offence”.
45.8% said yes.
