With the recent advances in automation, there is no doubt that in the near future some of the things which we currently do will be handled by robots.

Google's Artificial Intelligence platform, DeepMind, just recently defeated the world Go (an ancient Chinese game considered to be tougher than Chess) champion and Google's driverless cars just recently reported its first accident in about two years of testing.

All of this, and the article I did on six tiny robots pulling a car, further point to the fact that there is a place for robots in our society in the future.
