As I rushed into the bank gate, rushing towards the entrance door, I noticed the two uniformed security guys were approaching me with a stern look. I reduced my running pace as one signaled for me to stop. I did."What's the matter?" He asked calmly with a calculated voice."I..I..wanted to be in before 4'o clock. That's why I was running" I explained trying to catch my breath. The bigger of the security guys sized me up, letting me know he didn't like me. I didn't care.I walked towards the bank door, eager pay the fees for my school which was closing today. As I stepped into the door casing, the beep sound told me I needed to retreat, the big security guy that eyed me looked at me again and moved closer to me, I quickly removed my two phones from my pocket, ignoring the rumbling sound in my tummy. I had rushed the beans I ate before heading for the bank. I stepped into the door again and the beep sound came again. I removed my belt, desperate to get into the bank. My trousers band didn't fall, it was my size. Placing the phones and belt in my palms and walking into the door, it finally closed. I caught the glare of the security guy, he was so eager to pounce on me. I smiled as I joined the long queue. One of the cashiers ask that a new queue be formed to make things faster. After a little scuffle, a new line was formed, I was somewhere at the centre. Everything was going smoothly until it happened. I look around, no one seemed to have noticed. I smiled to myself and looked on ahead. My stomach rumbled again, and I let out the gas as quietly as the first. I noticed the lady standing in front of me stiffen, she stylishly covered her nose as she looked back. I kept a straight face. She turned back. I could feel the eyes of the lady behind me boring into my skin. There were just twelve more in front of me. I hoped my bowels will cooperate. They didn't. I stifled so as to hold the fart I wasn't ready to leave the queue. Unfortunately, stiffening it just made it worse, it came out louder. All eyes suddenly were on me."Hmmm" they all said, covering their nose, not leaving their position on the queue. I covered my nose too and played along. The security guy walked to me and asked me to excuse myself."What do you mean?" I asked"Please come with me, you've been polluting the air. That's very un-courteous sir.""Why do you think I am the one?" I asked angrily, "she is the one" I pointed to the lady behind me facing her. I was determined to save myself of this embarrassment. The lady looked stupefied, she just stared at me wide-eyed with mouth open, all eyes and ears were on us now."Please ma, let the cashier attend to you so you can excuse yourself" the security explained to the lady. What! I saw the mixed reaction on the lady's face, it was either she accepts being the 'messer' and be eased of the bank hustle or argue she's not and remain on the queue. She chose the best decision anyone would have made.
