Paris Saint-Germain has confirmed that midfielder Vitinha sustained an injury during last night's 2-1 home defeat to Lyon. The Portuguese international was forced off before halftime after a challenge with opposing forward Endrick, making way for Warren Zaïre-Emery.

Vitinha is suffering from inflammation in his right heel. The club did not provide a recovery timeline, stating only that the player's condition would be re-evaluated at the end of the week. Consequently, the 26-year-old will miss the home fixture against Nantes in two days and is likely to be rested for Saturday's away game at Angers, with the Champions League semi-final clash against Bayern Munich at the Parc des Princes scheduled for next Tuesday.

Vitinha has been one of Luis Enrique's most utilized players this season, featuring in all but two matches. He has accumulated 45 appearances across six different competitions, contributing 7 goals and 10 assists.
