Nigeria's refineries will work optimally if pipeline vandalism stops
Deputy Manager in charge of PPMC Kaduna Area office, Shuaibu Rabo, stated this when he received New Executives of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).
According to PPMC, pipelines vandalism has negatively affected oil production in the country.
"We are appealing to the media to help us oriented the general public on the risk associated with pipeline vandalism. Federal Government and the NNPCÂ are trying their best to address the problem," Rabo said.
He said the vandals are Nigerians who live within the communities adding that they are making majority of Nigerians suffer.
"We believe If pipeline vandalism stops all our refinery will work properly," Rabo said.
Rabo said protecting pipelines against vandals has always being a difficult task but hoped that the issue would soon be addressed.
"We want speedy trial of vandals arrested to serve as deterrent to others," he added.
NUJ chairman in Kaduna, Comrade Garba Muhammad, urged the PPMC management to ensure adequate supply of fuel in the state.
