German carmaker set to launch improved 2017 718 Boxster, Boxster S [PHOTO]
Porsche AG is set to release two new cars soon, the 2017 718 Boxster and Boxster S.
In light of it's imminent release, Motorauthority has some details of these new models.
The 2017 718 Boxster is an update of the original Boxster.
As an update version, it has better turbocharged 2.0-liter four making 300 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque.
The second model, the 718 Boxster S will have a 2.5-liter four engine that produces 350 horsepower and 309 lb-ft of torque.
Both models will have the optional PDK dual-clutch transmission's new "virtual" gears and better performance.
According to Porsche, the 718 Boxster will go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds, which is 0.7 seconds faster than the previous model, and a top speed of 170 mph.
It will go on sale in June from $57,050.
The 718 Boxster S will reach 60 in 4.0 seconds, with a top speed of 177 mph, it is expected to sell from $69,450.
