Artist showcases painted ferry to raise awareness for charity

Late last month British artist Polly Alakija set about on a community project in partnership with Foreshore Harbours to raise awareness for Children’s Development Centre (CDC), Lagos through art.

Yesterday, Saturday, 21 June 2015, Alakija and Foreshore Harbours unveiled a ferry the painter transformed to an art canvas.

The event supported by Lagos Jazz series and Oleandar saw art enthusiasts, students of the CDC, and members of the general public come out to see the decorated passenger boat and other art works by Alakija.
