The N29m (£60,000) of Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho was damaged by a thug after he arrived for the club’s end of season bash at Anfield on Tuesday, May 9.

According to , the midfielder and his wife were already out of the car and inside the venue of the party when a man threw a rock at the car, smashing the window.

The culprit was said to have gotten away before a police van arrived to investigate the incident.

The Brazil international did not come out to assess the damage himself, choosing to remain inside the party to sign autographs for fans.

This incident comes just after reports suggest that he has agreed to a deal to join Barcelona this summer.

It is not yet known if the incident is connected to the transfer reports.

Barcelona-based newspaper Sport claims that the club have already started talks with the agents of the Brazilian midfielder.

The move will cost Barcelona a whopping £76million which would make him the fourth most expensive signing in football history.

Liverpool have been fighting hard to keep the 24-year-old midfielder who they recently made the highest paid player in the club’s history.
