We are publishing the club's statement in its entirety.

The Vujošević family and Basketball Club Partizan have received the devastating news that the legendary Duško Vujošević passed away today, April 8th! His wife Ana and son Luka confirmed the information that everyone had feared after the health of the irreplaceable black-and-white general deteriorated several weeks ago. KK Partizan extends its deepest condolences to the family, and details regarding the commemoration and funeral will be announced later. THE DEPARTURE OF A MENTOR AND THE MOST DECORATED COACH Duško Vujošević was born in 1959 in Podgorica and dedicated almost his entire life to basketball. The unparalleled coach and mentor, who first and foremost shaped his players into better people before making them better basketball players, left this world on April 8th, 2026, in Belgrade. Throughout his rich basketball career, he coached numerous clubs and national teams, including Yugoslavia, Serbia and Montenegro, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Vujošević left his most significant mark at his beloved Partizan, where he began his career as a young coach working with junior categories. Under Duško's guidance, many future stars developed, who then became basketball legends in Serbia, Yugoslavia, Europe, and worldwide. Beyond his player development, Duško will be remembered as the most decorated coach in the history of the black-and-whites, boasting an incredible 12 national championship titles, five regional ABA League titles, five national cups, a Radivoj Korać Cup international title, and two appearances at the EuroLeague Final Four (European Champions' Cup). In addition to Partizan, Duško also worked, created, and achieved success with other clubs: OKK Belgrade, Mladost Zemun, Oximesa, Crvena Zvezda, Brescia, Pistoia, Pesaro, Radnički, Budućnost, CSKA Moscow, Limoges, Cluj, and SC Derby. With the SFR Yugoslavia junior national team, Duško Vujošević became a European champion. Today, the basketball world and the black-and-white family sadly bid farewell to a man who will forever remain a symbol of Partizan and of something Duško himself, almost inadvertently, once set as a motto for the 'Parni valjak' (Steamroller) to always follow – "FIGHT, DAMN IT!"
