The ministers, Stephen Ocheni and Suleiman Hassan were confirmed by the Senate on May 3.

Osinbajo was expected to swear the duo in during Wednesday’s Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, but he did not do so.

The Acting President also failed to inaugurate Ocheni and Hassan during the FEC meeting of May 10, which he presided over.

No reason or explanation has been given for the delay in swearing in the new ministers.

Osinbajo is acting as president due to Buhari’s absence from the country for health reasons.

Buhari travelled to London on Sunday, May 7, for an indefinite medical vacation after months of ill-health.
