Oshoala, Ebi, and 30 others invited for AWCON camp in Morocco

On Monday, May 16 the Super Falcons of Nigeria provisional list for the for the upcoming Women Africa Cup of Nations (AWCON) was released.

Randy Waldrum head coach of the Super Falcons has invited 32 players as they ramp up preparation for the tournament.

The 12th Women Africa Cup of Nations is set to take place place in Morocco the city selected for the Super Falcons to ramp up.

The camp in Morocco will take place for two weeks and several stars are returning to the team.

The Super Falcons are part of the 12-team tournament and are in Group C along with South Africa’s Banyana Banyana, Botswana and Burundi.

The Super Falcons will have a two-week intensive training programme led by captain Onome Ebi who recently turned 39.

Other stars on the team are Francisca Ordega, Desire Oparanozie who missed the last two friendly games.

Super Falcons to meet Bayana Bayana again, draw Botswana, Burundi in Group C

Former captain Oshoala missed the qualifiers against the Ivory Coast and then friendly games against Canada.

Oshoala returns to the team after finishing the season in Spain as the top scorer despite missing several games.

All players are expected to arrive in Rabat on 17th June as the training camp will start on 18th June in the North African kingdom.
