Fulham secured their second Premier League win of the season after edging Coventry 1-0 away from home to climb to 12th in the table. Oscar Bobb netted the only goal of the game ten minutes from time.
Fulham made just one change to the starting lineup that defeated Hull City, with Hugo Larsson replacing Sander Berge. Coventry City remained unchanged following their loss to Tottenham.
The visitors predictably created the better openings in the first half. They came closest in the 17th minute when Joshua King struck the woodwork before Alex Iwobi failed to convert the rebound from close range.
In first-half stoppage time, Fulham were involved in a contentious penalty appeal after Brandon Thomas-Asante appeared to pull down Calvin Bassey inside the box from a corner. Following a lengthy VAR review, the on-field decision stood.
VAR intervened again in the 54th minute to check another penalty appeal, this time at the opposite end for a potential handball by Iwobi. However, the contact was deemed to be above the sleeve line, and play continued.
Fulham broke the deadlock in the 80th minute when Oscar Bobb displayed brilliant skill inside the box, twisting and turning past his marker before slotting an effort into the far corner.
The win lifts the Cottagers to 12th place in the standings, moving them two points clear of their opponents, who remain second from bottom.
