Super Eagles forward Osaze Odemwingie has returned to action since damaging his knee ligaments in August 2014.

The Edo State born forward was a 79th minute substitute for Stoke City's Jonathan Walters in Saturday, April 25 English Premier League clash with Sunderland.

The Super Eagles forward could however not fashion out a winner for Stoke City as they drew 1-1 with Sunderland.

Connor Wickham capitalised on an Asmir Begovic error just only 59 seconds to give Sunderland the lead.

Scottish midfielder Charlie Adam however leveled for the dominant home side with a fierce rising shot before the break.

The Stoke City goal scorer was the first to congratulate Osaze on his comeback as he tweeted: "great too see @OdemwingieP make his come back today."

Osaze also took to his Twitter account to express delight his comeback and also congratulate Adam on his goal.

"Big thanks for such a warm reception Potters! Should have won today with so many chances. @Charlie26Adam thank you for another belter!!"
