Memphis Grizzlies guard Ty Jerome is off to a phenomenal start in the 2026-27 season. Through the opening three games, he leads the league in scoring with an average of 34.7 points per game, already securing a special place in franchise history.
Following a 31-point outing in a 123-112 victory over the Sacramento Kings, Jerome became just the second player in franchise history to score over 100 points in the first three games of a season. Prior to Jerome, the only Grizzlies player to accomplish the feat was Ja Morant, who achieved it twice during his seven-year tenure with the team.
A Flying Start to the Season
With 104 total points across the first three matchups, Jerome has guided Memphis to a perfect 3-0 start to the campaign. He kicked off the season with a stunning 45-point performance in just 31 minutes against the Utah Jazz—setting a franchise record for the highest-scoring season opener—before adding 28 and 31 points in the subsequent two contests.
Alongside his remarkable scoring output, Jerome is averaging 4.3 rebounds and 5.7 assists while shooting with exceptional efficiency—56.3% from the field and 42.9% from beyond the arc. His blistering start stands in stark contrast to last season, when injury setbacks limited the guard to just 15 appearances for the Grizzlies, averaging 19.7 points, 5.7 assists, and 2.8 rebounds.
