Olympiacos Prepares 8,000,000 Euros for Zvezda Player; Bartzokas Cuts Four to Make Way for Cody!
Whispers are growing louder that Miller-McIntyre will swap his Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet jersey for Olympiacos next season. Greek portal "Sport24" reports that the American point guard has received an offer worth approximately 8,000,000 euros for a 2+1 year contract.
Reportedly, the American would earn around 2,500,000 euros annually for the first two seasons. Should both parties activate the third year option, his salary would reportedly climb to nearly 3,000,000 euros!
Making Room for Cody
It's clear that Zvezda would struggle to match such an offer. The Greek powerhouse is reportedly preparing a significant roster clear-out to free up funds for Miller-McIntyre's acquisition. According to the aforementioned source, the Piraeus team is likely to part ways with Frank Ntilikina, Monte Morris, and very possibly Keenan Evans and Corey Joseph next season.
Evans missed the entire last season recovering from a patellar tendon injury, sustained while playing for Zalgiris at the end of the 2023/24 season. When he finally returned to the court last November, after more than 500 days out, he suffered an Achilles tendon rupture in his left leg, ironically in a game against his former team from Kaunas.
Monte Morris also battled injury issues and failed to impress coach Bartzokas, while Corey Joseph didn't exactly shine either. Frank Ntilikina was the only one to play a consistent season, but with modest averages of just 4.7 points, 1.7 assists, and one rebound.
This season in the EuroLeague, Miller-McIntyre averaged 12.6 points, 7.4 assists, and 4.5 rebounds per game.
