The Ricardo Velho saga has concluded.
The Portuguese international goalkeeper, who was with the Portugal national team at the World Cup despite not being registered for the competition, has signed a four-year deal with Aris Thessaloniki, confirming what A BOLA had previously reported.
The 27-year-old shot-stopper, who spent last season on loan at Turkish side Gençlerbirliği and featured in 24 matches, was not included in José Faria's squads for the first two Liga 2 fixtures, as his departure was deemed inevitable.
After his initial overseas experience last season, the goalkeeper, who spent most of his youth career at SC Braga, is once again moving abroad, joining the team that finished eighth in the Greek league's regular season last year.
«All I can promise is that I will do everything to help the team, so that we can have a very good year, achieve our goals, and make our fans happy,» the Portuguese international stated in comments to the Thessaloniki club's website.
