The arrival of the most decorated coach in European basketball history in the Greek capital immediately ignited the imagination of the Greens' supporters and sparked a flurry of rumors about a sensational return to his former glory.

Local media, however, report that this visit was arranged long before the first speculations about a new engagement emerged publicly. Nevertheless, it is almost certain that the legendary Serbian strategist will use his time in the familiar environment to sit down at the negotiating table.

Obradović is expected to have a direct conversation with the controversial club owner, Dimitris Giannakopoulos, who has prepared a lucrative offer and is eager to persuade the famous coach to return to the Greens after a full 14-year hiatus.

As exclusively reported by the well-informed Greek portal "SDNA", Obradović will stay at his private property in central Athens for the next two to three days, after which he plans to return to his homeland.

Immediately upon his arrival in Belgrade, he has commitments at the prestigious "Dušan Ivković" Coaching Clinic, scheduled for June 27th and 28th. At this eminent gathering, Obradović will be one of the key speakers, joined on stage by coaching greats such as Ettore Messina, Igor Kokoškov, and Todd Golden.

However, his summer tour doesn't end there. On June 30th, the Serbian strategist will once again board a plane for Greece, where he will attend a major seminar organized by the EuroLeague Coaches Association, taking place from July 2nd to 5th.

Should the two sides find common ground, Željko Obradović's return to Panathinaikos would undoubtedly represent the biggest basketball shake-up in Europe this summer.

During his first, golden era at the helm of the Athenian giants, "Žoc" led the club to five EuroLeague titles, forging one of the most powerful dynasties in the history of basketball. It is precisely for this reason that he still enjoys the status of an absolute deity among Panathinaikos fans.
