Saša Obradović, head coach of Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet, stated that the red-and-whites face a challenging match against Cluj in the regional ABA League.

Crvena Zvezda basketball players are set to host Cluj on Monday at 6 PM in the "Aleksandar Nikolić" Hall, for their seventh-round Top 8 ABA League clash.

Ahead of the showdown with the Romanian side, the head coach of the team from Mali Kalemegdan shared his expectations.

"We anticipate a tough and unique match against an opponent who has repeatedly demonstrated significant quality this season. They've secured victories in both the ABA League and EuroCup against teams vying for the top spots in the regional competition. We're aware of their key players; they boast an outstanding backcourt, and as a cohesive unit, they perform excellently across all positions. Our recent game in Lyon was challenging in every sense, demanding immense physical and mental effort. On the other hand, we aim to play a strong, competitive game, though it won't be easy. I urge our fans to come and support us." - Saša Obradović

Captain Ognjen Dobrić also addressed the media.

"Cluj is an excellent team; we've had the opportunity to play them before, and it wasn't an easy game. Throughout the season, we've seen them as a formidable opponent, capable of beating anyone in both the ABA League and EuroCup. We'll approach this match with maximum focus. Our game in France was incredibly tough in every aspect, but we're determined to secure another victory with our fans in our home arena." - Ognjen Dobrić

Crvena Zvezda currently sits in fourth place in the standings with 17 wins and five losses, while Cluj is in fifth position with a 13-9 record.

In their first ABA League encounter this season, played on March 8th in Cluj, Zvezda emerged victorious with a 97:85 scoreline.
