Ribadu won the primaries, which were held yesterday, December 8, in Abuja , by a landslide winning 688 votes while his major competitor, sitting Governor James Ngilari got only 26 votes.

The former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Nuhu Ribadu, has won the governorship primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa state.

The former EFCC chairman beat 6 other aspirants to win the ticket and will represent the PDP at the governorship elections in 2015.
Other candidates include Awwal Tukur, the son of former PDP chairman, Bamanga Tukur, who got 24 votes, Ahmed Modibbo with 30 votes, Marcus Gundiri with 33 votes and Aliyu Kama who got 3 votes.
