The Denver Nuggets have managed to cut their deficit in the first round of the NBA playoffs to 3-2, but they still have a tough road ahead against Minnesota, as the series goes to the team that secures four victories.

This matchup was once again fraught with tension, and, predictably, Jaden McDaniels was at the center of it all. He seems to constantly provoke Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets. However, the Colorado crowd knew exactly how to greet the American player.

In the early hours of Tuesday morning, the Sombor native recorded his 221st career triple-double, tying him with Russell Westbrook.

Denver has historically pulled off epic comebacks after falling significantly behind in a series three times (twice from 1-3 down and once from 0-2). Now, they're attempting to do it a fourth time against the Timberwolves.

Denver is the only team in NBA history to have twice overcome a 1-3 series deficit in the same playoffs: first against Utah (first round), where they trailed 1-3 but, led by the phenomenal Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic, managed to string together three wins and advance after a dramatic Game 7. The second instance occurred against the Clippers in the Western Conference Semifinals: again, they were down 1-3 against absolute favorites. The Clippers held significant leads in Games 5 and 6, but the Nuggets managed to dismantle them and win Game 7, securing their spot in the Western Conference Finals.

The first major comeback happened in 1994. Denver made history as the first 8th seed to eliminate a 1st seed, the Seattle SuperSonics. In that series (which was then best-of-five), they were down 0-2. They managed to win three straight, and the image of Dikembe Mutombo lying on the court, hugging the ball after winning Game 5, became one of the most iconic in league history.
