MFM FC beat El-Kanemi Warriors to go top, Akwa United win in Kano
Austine Ogunye, Sikiru Olatunbosun and Stephen Odey all netted in the first half to take the Olukoya Boys top of the league.
Ogunye fired in from close range in the 20th minute before Olatunbosun doubled the lead after a nice build up play.
Odey picked himself up to score from the penalty spot to make it 3-0 after he was fouled in the box.
With the 3-0 win, MFM moved one point above Plateau United, who weren't in action due to the Confederation Cup engagement of Enugu Rangers.
In Kano, Akwa United got a huge away win beating Kano Pillars- who now have a winless run of four matches- by a lone goal.
Christian Pyagbara netted in the 19th minute to silence the crowd, slotting past Yusuf Mohammed to silence the crowd inside the Sani Abacha Stadium.
After the game, Akwa United players and officials were attacked by aggrieved home fans.
